A man on a motorcycle was arrested Saturday night after trying to evade Sullivan County Authorities.

The chase was along State Road 54 as police say 59-year-old Jeffery Meier was breaking several traffic laws on his motorcycle and refused to stop.

Meier sped away from police reaching speeds over 100 miles-per-hour.

He crashed into a ditch along the state highway and tried to run away on foot, but officers were able to subdue him.

Officers say he showed signs of impairment.

They also found meth, pot, and psychedelic mushrooms on his possession.

He was arrested and he booked into the Sullivan County Jail.

Meier is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated with Endangerment, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Reckless Driving.
