There are again several closures and cancellations today due to the winter weather.
All Daviess County Schools are again closed today. It will be another eLearning day. Pike County, Loogootee, and Shoals Schools are also on eLearning. Girls Sectional games will be moved to tomorrow.
Production has been called off for Perdue Farms in Washington. Day shift shipping will still report at 9:00 am. All maintenance, refrigeration, wastewater, & night shift shipping will also report at normal time.
FIA Blue Shift production is cancelled for today. Team members should not report to work.
All dayshift manufacturing and office locations for MasterBrand Cabinets will be on a two-hour delay this morning. MasterBrand Cabinets Ferdinand and Huntingburg Operations will be scheduling 5 hours for Day Shift tomorrow, February 5th, due to the plant shutdown on Thursday.
All Daviess County and Washington City Offices and Departments are closed. Essential personnel will report for work; Police, Fire, Street (snowplows), and Water and Wastewater Department plant operators. With the Daviess County Courthouse closed, the dead line for candidate filing has been moved to Monday, February 7, 2022.
There will be no trash pickup. Residents with Thursday or Friday trash pickup are asked to have their trash ready next week on their regular trash pick-up day. The Recycling Center will also be closed, and the City Transit will not be operating Friday. The Daviess County Landfill will also be closed today and tomorrow.
The Daviess County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is closed today, however, staff will be available to assist you while working remotely. The Annual Business & Lifestyle Expo is still set toget underway tomorrow at the Conservation Club in Washington from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The baby vaccination event that was scheduled for today from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and tomorrow from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Daviess County Health Department has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for February 18. The Health Department will be calling all who made appointments to reschedule.
The Daviess County Right to Life Aluminum Can Drive scheduled for tomorrow at the Tractor Supply Parking Lot in Washington has been rescheduled to next Saturday, February 12th.
