Coletta Jo Strange, 98, of Odon, Indiana passed away, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, Indiana, living most of her life in Plainville, IN. She was born on November 16, 1923, to Harry & Edna (Williams) Barnes in Daviess County, Indiana. Coletta married the love of her life, Gordon Strange, the son of Roy and Ruth (Standiford) Strange.
Coletta was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Plainville. She loved playing the organ and piano for all occasions and functions. She worked as a Rural Postal Carrier for many years. She and her husband owned and operated the Regal and IGA Supermarkets in Plainville. Later she was employed by Midwest Natural Gas retiring in 1986.
Family left to cherish Coletta’s memory include her son, Jed (Margie) Strange, Brownstown, IN, two grandchildren, Mark (Karen) Strange of Scottsdale, AZ and Aaron (Leah) Strange of Ocala, Fl; great-grandchildren Anderson and Harper Strange.
Coletta was preceded in death by, her parents, and husband, Gordon of 64 years.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Alfred Helms officiating. Coletta will be laid to rest in Plainville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Christian Village, Odon, IN or to the donor choice.
