The City of Princeton officially dedicated Gibson County’s first “Baby Box” over the weekend.

On Saturday, Princeton officials opened the county’s first Safe Haven Baby Box located at the fire station at Embree and Brumfield.

The box was dedicated to the family of Frances Weber.

It was approved by the Princeton City Council and Princeton Fire Territory earlier this year.

The box allows mothers to surrender their newborn child with no questions asked.

The Gibson County Sheriff’s Department says they are truly blessed to have such a resource in the county.
