Ruth (Miller) Graber, 83, of Loogootee, passed away at 8:32 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1938 in Montgomery, Indiana to the late Peter and Katie Ann (Lengacher) Miller.
Ruth married Edwin Graber on October 29, 1959 and he preceded her in death March 16, 2016.
She was a member of the First Mennonite Church. Ruth loved being outdoors, gardening, mowing the yard and taking care of her flowers. She enjoyed baking and embroidering quilt blocks. Ruth loved well and in turn she was loved by many!
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Graber; parents, Peter and Katie Ann Miller; brothers, Dave and Jim Miller; sister, Sue Mullett; brother-in-law, Alvin Swartzentruber.
She is survived by her siblings, Paul (Ruby) Miller of Montgomery, Jean Swartzentruber of Loogootee, Ada (John) Kemp of Cannelburg, Lillie (Jim) Fuhs of Montgomery, Barbara Kendrick of Jacksonville, Florida, Dale (Mary Teresa) Miller of Montgomery and Joyce (John) Kauffman of Plain City, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Miller and Jamie Miller, both of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Leroy Mullett of Sarasota, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was lovingly cared for by her niece and family, Ernie, Linda, Jordan, Joshua and Jeremy Graber.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at First Mennonite Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church.
