Gary K. Hayes, 81, of Otwell, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ireland, Indiana on July 9, 1940 to Clarence and Myrneth (Fredrick) Hayes.
He retired from Jasper Corporation after 45 years of service, and attended Algiers United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jeryl & Jack.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn; daughters Kim (Paul) Lueken of Huntingburg and Kristi (Brian) Query of Eckerty; sisters Norma Northerner of Indianapolis and Nell Gregson of Greenwood; grandchildren J.D. Wheatley & Madison Query; step-grandchildren Josh Lueken & Maddex Garrett; and sister-in-law Joanne Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with burial to follow at Otwell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
