Infrastructure bill won’t include tax hike for middle class

A tax increase for the middle class will not be a part of a multi-trillion dollar infrastructure bill that is expected to be introduced by the Biden Administration this week.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, the former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, had floated the possibility of a mileage tax to help fund the bill in the last few weeks, but he told CNN that will not be the case.

Buttigieg said that households making less than $400,000 a year will not see an extra tax to help pay for the bill.
