Senator Todd Young says COVID Relief talks will continue

Talks went well in the first of what is expected to be a few more meetings between the president and a group of GOP senators over COVID relief. Indiana Senator Todd Young said on Twitter the meeting with President Biden at the White House was “productive” and that “talks … will continue.” Fellow Maine Republican Susan Collins spoke in behalf of the group Monday night calling the meeting a good exchange of views, but that they only agreed to talk more about relief. Republicans and Democrats are still far apart on relief as Biden has proposed a 1-point-9-trillion-dollar package. Republicans say that price tag is way too high.
