Ketchum & Rose House residents get their first vaccine dose

Residents at Ketcham Memorial and the Rose House at 601 E. Race St., Odon, IN, have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Ketcham administrator Kathy Wittmer said, “We are so excited and thankful that we are able to start the process of reuniting the residents with their families! It was a day of cheers and tears as we celebrated this historical day!”

CVS Pharmacy provided the service of administering the vaccinations, while Williams Brothers Pharmacy gave each resident and employee who was vaccinated a goody bag. Ketcham provided bracelets that said, “Lifesaver,” and “#KetchamStrong.”

The next vaccination clinic for Ketcham residents will be Feb. 9.

Vaccines were also  given Friday morning at Parkview Village Christian Care in Odon. The 2nd shot is scheduled for 2-11-21.

Gina Wagler said, “We are thankful for this opportunity to do our part in opening up for families to visit and to welcome our volunteers back into our building.”
