The remains of a man found at Hawkins Creek have been identified. On September 12, 2020 human remains were located in a heavily wooded area along CR 300 West and Hawkins Creek around Maysville. Deputies from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police Crime Scene Technicians responded to and processed the scene. The remains were sent to the University of Indianapolis Anthropology Department for examination. The examination revealed that these are in fact the remains of Dan Grannan who went missing in August of 2019. The Grannan family has been notified.
