COVID-19 has intruded on yet another annual event. The annual New Year’s Eve Watermelon Drop in Vincennes has officially been cancelled. The event is widely popular and often brings lots of business to downtown shops. This year would have marked the 13th annual drop for the community. Organizers say the cancellation is due to the fact that it would have been difficult to social distance with an event as big as this one.
