Barbara J. Boyd age 73, of Shoals, passed on December 3, 2020 at the Loogootee Health and Rehab in Loogootee. She was born December 22, 1946 in Washington to Raymond O. and Beatrice (Way) Chattin. She married Earl Boyd Jr. on June 22, 1963 and he survives.
Barbara retired from RCA Bloomington, served as Vice-Precinct Committeewoman and attended the Shoals Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her children, Wesley E Boyd, Kevin R (Riza) Boyd, Rebecca L. (Timothy A.) Taylor and Brian S. (Aletha) Boyd; one sister, Donna Sue Sanders of Hayes, Virginia; two brothers, Norman (Debbie) Chattin of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and John (Liz) Chattin of Shoals. Special caregiver and granddaughter, Kecia Taylor as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Theresa Boyd.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with burial in the Albright Cemetery. Pastor John Ziegler and Pastor Mark Hamaker will officiate. Visitation will 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
