The Loogootee Lions captured their own tournament at jam Butcher Arena on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the season. Loogootee topped Evansville Day School 85-76 then went on to beat Rock Creek Academy 52-33. Peyton Bledsoe was named the tournament MVP.
Shoals lost to Borden 69-63
Pike Central fell to North Posey 53-42
Vincennes Rivet lost on the road at Shakamak 69-42
North Knox traveled to Linton to play in the Linton Classic. The Warriors lost to Linton 68-51. Then fell to Parke Heritage 60-53. Linton won the tourney defeating Parke Heritage 65-56.

Two of the best of all time got in the ring Saturday night. With a combined age adding up to 105 years, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Junior got in the ring for 8-two minute rounds. While neither attacked hard, or connected on a knock out punch the bout ended in an unsatisfying draw.
The NFL has taken a draft pick and fined the New Orleans Saints $500 thousand dollars for not wearing masks during their post game celebration after a big win over Tampa Bay in week 9. The Saints have appealed the decision.
The Detroit Lions have fired head coach Matt Patricia and General Manager Bob Quinn after two consecutive seasons under .500. The Lions offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell will be serving as the interim coach. The Lions were13-29-1 under Patricia since he took over in 2018.
Tom Allen’s defense showed up big again on Saturday as the Hoosiers did not allow a touchdown until late in the 4th quarter as IU topped Maryland 27-11. The Hoosiers move to 5-1.
Notre Dame continues to roll with a 31-17 win over North Carolina this weekend
Michigan State upset unbeaten Northwestern in week 13 handing the Wildcats their first loss and possibly eliminating their hopes of making it in the playoffs.
Rutgers dealt Purdue a big blow dropping the Boilers 37-30. Purdue falls to 2-3 while Rutgers goes to 2-4.
