Area Facilities Offer Free WiFi Hotspots for Local Students During Virtual Learning Days

Here are some areas where there is free public WiFi for students who do not have internet access at home. Families who do not have access to at home Internet access or free public WIFI access should let their teacher know of a lack of connectivity.  Alternative assignments and/or considerations will be provided.

School Grounds-  All of Washington Community Schools buildings WIFI networks extend to outside areas like the immediate sidewalks around the buildings, and in some cases, the parking lots.

Washington Carnegie Library- The library has free Wi-Fi access and can accommodate an unlimited amount of students with their own devices.  There is an unattended children policy of age 8 and under (must be accompanied by an adult or someone over 14).  For students needing a device who are 14 and older- they can also use 14 wired computers. For students under 14, there are 2 computer stations in our youth department.  Limits on each computer is an hour but students can stay on for an additional hour if no one is waiting.
