Knox County man charged with murder after an accident on Friday

A Lawrenceville man originally charged with manslaughter of a Knox County man has now been charged with murder. Early Friday morning, Vincennes police responded to a single vehicle accident on South Old US 41 in Vincennes. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle had crashed into the front porch of a house. The passenger, 44-year-old C.C. Lee Cochran of Lawrenceville, was seen standing outside the vehicle. The driver, 30-year-old Christopher Anderson of Knox County, was found dead in the living room of the house. Police say that Anderson had deep lacerations on his body that were likely not caused by the accident. Cochran was initially charged with manslaughter, but is now being charged with murder.
