It was a happy homecoming for select Indiana National Guardsmen. About 60 troops with the Gary-based Company C, 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion returned home to their families Thursday. The troops have spent several months in Kuwait as part of Operation Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve. Guard commanders say it’s good to send the troops home for the holidays.
