Indiana Pacers president Kevin Pritchard said Wednesday that guard Victor Oladipo has been fully cleared from the quad injury suffered in January of 2019 and will be full go for his offseason regimen. Oladipo is entering the final year of his contract, and Pritchard said that on a team-wide Zoom call Tuesday, the IU grad was as positive as he has ever seen. Pritchard said that the team and Oladipo have a great relationship and that he is not worried with rumors about Oladipo wanting to play elsewhere.

Brandon Lowe hit two home runs, and the Tampa Bay Rays evened up the World Series with a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2. Tampa Bay jumped out to a 5-0 lead before L.A. mounted a comeback, but the Rays’ bullpen was able to shut the door. Lowe cranked a solo home run in the first and added a two-run homer in the fifth. Joey Wendle drove in three runs with a two-run double in the fourth and a sacrifice fly in the sixth. The teams are off Thursday before resuming the series Friday night.

Notre Dame running back Jahmir Smith said on Twitter Wednesday that he has stepped away from the team to focus on his mental health. Smith thanked coach Brian Kelly for the opportunity, and said he is uncertain of his future as a player, but will be directing his focus towards completing his studies and working on his well being. Smith rushed five times for 15 yards in Notre Dame’s season-opening win over Duke and had not played since. The Fighting Irish are ranked third in the country and play at Pittsburgh Saturday afternoon.
