Sharon (Golliher) Hinkle, 83, formerly from Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at The Villages at Oakridge in Washington, Indiana. She was born on June 16, 1937 in Daviess County, Indiana to Earl ‘Jerry’ and Elma (Strange) Golliher. She married the love of her life, Ray Hinkle on September 12, 1953.
Sharon was a member of Plainville United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for several years. Sharon and Ray owned and operated Ray’s Market for 32 years.
Those left to cherish the memories of Sharon include: two sons, Daniel (Dawn) Hinkle of Plainville and Kelly Hinkle of Washington; three daughters, Darla (Roman) Wagler of Washington, Kara Dougherty and Melissa (Seth) Miller, both of Plainville; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two nieces; one great nephew and one brother, Jimmy (Sharon) Golliher of Converse, Indiana.
Sharon was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Ray; one infant brother and one infant sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Ashley Shurtz officiating. Sharon will be laid to rest in Plainville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
