Local Law Enforcement Apprehend Wanted Criminal

A quick response by local authorities led to the arrest of a wanted man yesterday afternoon at Front and Robinson Street on the city’s west side.  Daviess County Sheriff Gary Allison was on the scene and gave us the rundown of the events…

Police had the area blocked and nearby homes were evacuated. City, County, SWAT, and firemen were on the scene.

32 year old Elvis Madrano was hiding in a residence on the west side of Washington and refused to come out when asked by the police. He was taken into custody following the deployment of tear gas at the residence. Madrano was wanted on several out of county warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance, Dealing Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Resisting Law Enforcement, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Officers continued the investigation to multiple other locations and reported seizing more quantities of Methamphetamine. In total, approximately 26 grams of Methamphetamine was seized. Madrano was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, and visiting a Common Nuisance.

No one was injured during these events.
