Geneva Ruth (Pipher) Mahoney, 94, of Merritt Island, Florida, formerly of Washington, Indiana, passed away June 29, 2020.
Geneva was born Oct. 6, 1925, to the late Charles Pipher and Bessie Hembree Pipher. She married Maxwell “Max” Mahoney on July 8, 1944, and they celebrated 71 years together. Geneva was a member of the First Baptist Church of Washington.
Geneva is survived by one daughter, Peggy Howard (John Horton) of Washington; two sons, Alan Mahoney (Melinda Buzz) of Hobe Sound, Florida, Mark Mahoney of Merritt Island, Florida; four grandchildren, Jeff Howard of Malabar, Florida, Brian Howard of Jasper, Indiana, Anna Maxey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kristina Mahoney of Cocoa, Florida; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, on Friday, July 10, 2020, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, with Yvonne Evans officiating.
