The Daviess County Landfill is open for outside recycling. However, due to COVID-19 there have been some changes with the reopening.
- Glass is no longer being accepted as the landfill has lost their outlets for glass.
- Newspapers can’t be received during inclement weather.
- Magazine and book recyclables will be received at the scale house entrance.
- All cardboard must be corrugated. No paper board, soft drink cartons, cereal boxes etc are being accepted.
- All transactions will continue to be handled at the scale house window. Only cash, check or pre-approved credit is accepted. The landfill doesn’t accept debit or credit cards.
