Police in Petersburg arrested five this past weekend after a string of vandalism incidents. The Petersburg Police Facebook page put out a call to help find the culprits who were said to have spray painted racial slurs, KKK and profanities on several buildings and signs including a church, the Petersburg Elementary School, old Petersburg gym and a home on Locust Street. Some cars were also spray painted in that area of town. Four juveniles and 24-year-old Sarah Hammock were arrested. Hammock is charged with Aiding, Inducing or Causing Institutional Criminal Mischief.
