Tomorrow, Washington Community Schools will again be handing out free school meals. All who are 18 and under can get the meals. Because of state and federal guidelines however, the kids must be present to pick them up. They will be available at the Lena Dunn and Jr High Gym from 4 to 5 tomorrow. Enter Lena Dunn through Wycoff Lane and the Jr High via Walnut Street.
A package of 5 Breakfast and Lunch meals will be distributed, one per child. Officials ask that you stay in your car, and someone will come to your window for delivery. There will be a designated place for walk-ups. If walking, please practice social distancing. Washington police will direct traffic as needed. It is the district’s intent to extend this weekly service during the school closure. Please keep in mind services are dependent upon delivery schedules by our suppliers.
