Daviess County Highway Superintendent Phil Cornelius will be drafting a letter to an area business at the request of the county commissioners.  The letter will warn against not using designated truck routes.

Cornelius addressed the commissioners on Tuesday and explained that since last summer issues started with trucks not using the correct routes to get into Eggs Incorporated on the west side of Washington.  He says their increase in business is great however, the chosen routes trucks are utilizing to get to their destination are hurting transportation infrastructure…

Cornelius says signs have been posted, and Commissioners Michael Taylor and Tom McCracken have reached out to Eggs Incorporated and informed them of the problem.  Cornelius says the letter that will be sent will warn that the county will start taking action when trucks deviate from designated routes.
