Katie Marner, 94, of Loogootee, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at 7:45 a.m. at her home. She was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Daviess County, Indiana, to Samuel and Magdalena (Raber) Eicher. Katie married Ralph Marner on Feb. 24, 1944, and he preceded her in death July 18, 1998. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Katie is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Marner; her sons, John Marner, Eugene Marner; her parents, Samuel and Magdalena Eicher; her grandson, Kent Marner; one great-granddaughter;
her brothers, Jake Eicher, Pete Eicher, Dave Eicher and John Eicher; her sisters, Mary Marner, Martha Marner, Rosa Nisly; and her son-in-law, Jay Swartzentruber. She is survived by her sons, Lester (Sylvia) Marner of Montgomery, Wilbur (Mary
Kathryn) Marner of Odon, Daniel (Lou Ella) Marner of Loogootee, Marvin (Mattie) Marner of Loogootee; her daughters, Rosann (Jake) Knepp of Loogootee, Lorene (Jay) Swartzentruber of Montgomery, Carolyn (Marvin) Graber of Loogootee; her daughters-in-law, Betty (John) Marner, Barbara (Eugene) Marner; 51 grandchildren; 167 great- grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at 9 a.m. at the Produce Building, with home ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Stoll Cemetery. Visitation will continue until the time of service at the Produce Building on Wednesday. Arrangements provided by Blake and Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery, Indiana.
