Reckless driver arrested; fire in Odon

-Monday, the Washington Police Department arrested 26-year-old Mark C. Joseph for Reckless Driving and Resisting Law Enforcement.  No bond was set.   Police received a call of vehicles racing down Front Street.  Police arrived and attempted to stop Joseph who, according to the police logs, did not stop initally but did at Northwest 14th and McCormick and was then taken into custody.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Pike County man on a warrant Monday.  39-year-old Eric J. Dove of Winslow was wanted for 1 count of Forgery and 2 counts of Theft.  Bond was posted.

-Sunday, 55-year-old Robin L. Knust of Patoka was arrested on a warrant by the Sheriff’s Department for 1 count of Theft and 2 counts of Prescription Fraud.

-Jennifer L. Evans, 46 of Washington was arrested on a warrant Sunday for Failure to Appear for Theft.  Bond was posted.

-Quinn T. Wilson, 28 of Loogootee was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. That arrest made Sunday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. Bond was posted.

-At 12:37 am this morning, authorities were called to an accident on I69 at mile marker 79 near the Odon ramp.

-There was a car/deer crash on Maple Street in Washington reported at 6-am on Monday.

-At 6:05-am Monday, authorities responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries at 200 North and 650-East at Montgomery.

-Washington Police investgated a breaking and entering reported from a McCormick Avenue home.

-At 10:10-am Monday, a resident in Odon called authorities saying their neighbor’s house had blown up.  Odon firefighters responded to 11310 East 1400 North where there was a house fire and everyone had gotten out safely.  Log entries state the fire may have been due to a gas leak.   Madison Fire was also called to the scene. The fire departments were there until 2-pm.
