Joan Harner, 70, of Washington, passed away at 2:45 pm Sunday, November 24, 2019 at East Gate Manor in Washington.
She was born January 15, 1949 in Muncie, Indiana to John and Florence (Huebner) Petrey.
Joan retired in housekeeping at Daviess Community Hospital. She attended Otterbein Methodist Church and was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Joan was a huge animal lover, loved her family, and was a enormous Reba McEntire fan.
Surviving are her husband Bill Harner whom she married on November 15, 1969; her children Tracey A. Harner and his wife Becky of Washington, Craig B. Harner of Springboro, Ohio, and Ryan J. Harner and his wife Brandy of Washington; her grandchildren, Cody W. Harner and his wife Taylor, Blake Harner, Garrett Harner, and Layla Harner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Tracey Harner, Craig Harner, Ryan Harner, Cody Harner, Garrett Harner, and Blake Harner. Honorary pallbearer will be Layla Harner.
All services will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to either the Washington Animal Shelter or the Daviess County Friends For Animals.
