Washington’s Fire Chief was elected Mayor by a narrow margin in Tuesday’s election.
Democrat Dave Rhoads squeaked out a 43 vote win with just over 50.2% of the vote over Republican Diana Snyder.

Republican David Dahl retained his City Council At Large Seat. Fellow Republican Ken Showalter also won. Both defeated Democrats Ernie Evans and Ron Critchlow. It was both Dahl’s and Showalter’s first time running. Dahl was appointed to the seat three years ago.

There were a total of 4,977 votes cast in the City Council At Large race. Dahl finished with 34.6%, Showalter with 28%, Ernie Evans with 24.5% and Ron Critchlow with 12.7%.
