The Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) announced that Daviess County Auditor Patty Ball received the 2019 Outstanding County Auditor Award. The award recognized her contributions made to county government throughout her years of public service.

Ball has served as the County Auditor since January of 2015. Ball has been a member of the Indiana County Auditors’ Association since being elected to the Daviess County Auditors position in 2015. She has previously served on the Associations’ Board as secretary and vice president. She is the current President of the Indiana Auditors’ Association and serves on the Association of Indiana Counties board.

The award was presented during the AIC’s 61st Annual Conference in Orange County last month. The AIC’s Annual Conference is the largest gathering of county officials in the state. Representatives from public agencies, private entities, and local elected officials addressed issues such as rural services, jail management, firearms training demonstrations, options for archiving and digitizing documents, alternative energy, collaborative management, and so much more.
