James E. Brown

James E. Brown, 64, of Montgomery, passed away at 11:30 a.m. August 13, 2019 at his daughter’s home.

He was born October 31, 1954 in Washington, Indiana to the late Elmer E. “Brownie” and Betty Jean (Lance) Brown.

Jim helped cook at various benefits and auctions. He enjoyed watching football on Sundays. He was past 4-H member and Boy Scout. He was currently employed at OFS in Huntingburg and had worked there for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer E. “Brownie” and Betty Jean (Lance) Brown; half-sisters, Phyllis Moore and Wilma Smith.

Jim is survived by his children, Michele L. Lloyd (Jeremy Cannon) of Montgomery and Michael J. (Stephanie) Brown of Odon; grandchildren, Kasadie L. Graber, Raelynn P. Lloyd, Joely N. Lloyd, Taryn J. Williams and Jameson M. Brown; great-granddaughter, Avery Jo Graber.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Pleasant View Mennonite church in Montgomery. Burial will be held at Bethany Cemetery after a luncheon at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:00 until the time of service at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant View Mennonite School.
