Here’s what’s happening at area fairs this week.
The Knox County Fair in Bicknell has the 4H Horse and Pony Fun class at 4 today. The Open Class building is open at 4. A flag ceremony will officially open the fair at 6. The fair Queen Contest is at the VU Pavillion at 7 and the grandstand as the ORVTPA Sanctioned Tractor pull. Admission to the Knox County Fair is $5 for those 10 and up, grandstand admission is free with fair gate admission. Pit passes are $15. Go to knoxcountyfarmfair.com for more information.
The Pike County 4H Fair began yesterday with a parade and opening ceremonies. Abigail Sutt was crowned Miss Pike County at the Queen Contest. Today at the Pike County Fair at the 4H Grounds at Hornady Park in Petersburg, the 4H Building is open 6 to 9 and there’s a Pleasure Horse Show in the Horse Arena at 7.
