Rain in the forecast all week long; 8 Indiana tornadoes confirmed Saturday

        On the weather front, five inches of rain, give or take.  have fallen since Sunday and a Flood Warning remains in effect and some county roads you may come upon could be flooded. Don’t drive through flooded roads.

        Flood Warnings are in affect for area rivers.  The White at Edwardsport was about a foot above flood stage at 16 feet around 7 last night and currently is forecast to rise to 23.1 by Tuesday.

        There’s a Flash Flood Watch in effect through tomorrow as more heavy rain is possible this afternoon and tonight and the rain on the already saturated ground could result in flash flooding.

        The National Weather Service now says 9 confirmed tornadoes occurred in Indiana over the weekend.

        One of the worst was an EF-2 in Center Township in Greene County where 70 homes were damaged and 3 were considered destroyed.  It left hundreds without power.  The winds were measured at up to 130 mph.  There no reported injuries.
