Washington Student gets Ronald McDonald House scholarship

        A Washington High School Student has received a $5000 scholarship from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana.

        Elias Bacerra plans on attending IU and majoring in Biology.

        The Ronald McDonald House is Washington McDonald’s Cornerstone Charity and has awarded over $900,000 in scholarships since 2008.  The money is for students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

        Elias is a member of the Science Club and Beta Club at Washington and also is on the Cross Country and Track Teams.  He also volunteers with Feed My Sheep and Habitat for Humanity.
