A special art exhibit will be on display in the main lobby of Daviess Community Hospital through April 29.
Angie Steiner, the DCH Director of Business Development, says that for several years Lilly Oncology on Canvas has provided individuals affected by cancer an opportunity to connect through art and narrative. Lilly Oncology on Canvas is an international art exhibit honoring the journeys traveled by millions of people affected by cancer worldwide. Since 2004 a partnership with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivors and the Cancer Support Community has received more than 4400 pieces of art. Hundreds of exhibitions have been held and thousands have been inspired to share their journey through art. The art exhibit is in conjunction with the opening of the Lohano Center for Advanced Medicine and was arranged through the efforts of DCH Patient Navigator Sharon Mead.
