The Martin County 4-H Global Gateway Ambassadors team has been awarded a $750 grant for their proposed project that was submitted to the Indiana 4-H Takes a Bite Out of Hunger campaign! “We look forward to seeing the outstanding results of your proposed project as it is completed over the next several months. We were impressed with the variety of the proposals submitted, as well as the overall level of input that the youth have had in the submission of these proposals. Best wishes to the youth and adults who will be working together to plan and implement this service project!” – Steve McKinley, 4-H Extension Specialist, Leadership This grant is to springboard the experiences the 4-H youth had in relation to an Indiana 4-H trip as the four Martin County 4-Hers were among 44 Indiana youth delegates traveling to The Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas on April 11-15. The trip was supported by Farm Credit Mid-America. Delegates experienced a deep immersion into significant global issues, including poverty, hunger and food waste problems. The Martin County 4-H Youth Team consists of: Wade Burris, Lucas Harder, Delanie Bateman, and Mason Harder.
