New nurse practitioner in town

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center  announces the addition of Nurse Practitioner Hillary Lawyer to the staff of Memorial Health Washington in Washington, Indiana.  Nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who are educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness as well as chronic health conditions. Nurse practitioners conduct history and physical exams, and may order diagnostic tests and medical treatments, including prescribing medications.

Lawyer received her master’s degree with specialization in adult gerontology nurse practitioner and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She is certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners as a commercial motor vehicle examiner (DOT). Most recently, Lawyer served as an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner at Stroud Medical in Washington.
