David L. Graf, 63, of Washington, passed away at 2:14 pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

He was born on January 17, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana to Donald and Helen (Pixley) Graf.

David retired from the Washington Community School Corporation where he had served as a teacher and most recently as the Technology Director until his retirement in 2012. David was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Montgomery and received his master’s degree in education from Purdue University. An avid Purdue fan, David was known for his sense of humor and enjoyed fishing and gardening. David loved being around his grandchildren and his dogs Charlie and Lucy and his cats Rosie and Rudy.

Those surviving who will cherish David’s memory include his wife of 41 years, Barbara (Florek) Graf, whom he married on June 25, 1977; his parents, Donald and Helen Graf of Sellersburg; his children, Jennifer Gregoline and her husband Joe of Zionsville, Jessica Liu and her husband Paul of Alameda, CA, and Matt Graf and his wife Leah of Eagan, MN; six grandchildren, Katelyn Gregoline, Emily Gregoline, Abigail Gregoline, Jack Liu, Andy Liu, and Aoife Graf; his brothers and sister, Paul Graf and his wife Diane, Dale Graf, Ken Graf and his wife Jamie, Gary Graf and his wife Gina, and Karen Graves and her husband David, all of Sellersburg, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, December 31, 2018 from 9:00 am until Noon at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Montgomery where a Memorial Mass will be held at Noon with Rev. James E. Koressel, Celebrant. Burial will be held at a later date in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Washington.
