Ervin Carl Meyer, 87, passed away at 8:05 pm on July 26, 2018 at Gentle Care Nursing Home.
Ervin was born on May 14, 1931 in Vincennes the son of Edward and Emma (Pepmeier) Meyer. He married Marguerite Landrey on January 26, 1963 and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2010.
Ervin was a 1949 graduate of Decker High School where he was President of his senior class and a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. He farmed for many years and enjoyed to bowl.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Dayna Cunningham of Evansville; sister, Kathryn Cole of Vincennes; brothers, Victor Meyer of Vincennes, Paul Meyer of Vincennes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ervin was also preceded in death by his step-daughter Tina Cunningham.
Friends may visit with Ervin’s family from 12-1 pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. Vincennes. Ervin’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday at Gardner-Brockman with Rev. Steve Boorsma officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
