Daviess County Rural Water is ready to start their 7.4 million dollar upgrade.  New lines will be added, a new water tower will be built and existing lines will be upgraded according to President of DCWR, David Fisher.  He told Mike Grant with the Washington Times Herald  they are running out of water with their current system.  He says the volume of mostly residential and agriculture customers needing water just keeps increasing.

The project goes from south of Washington, east, and then north to Crane.  The company is paying for the expansion with the help of a grant and more will be paid for by the rate payers.  The project should be done next summer.
