A man was sentenced Friday in Daviess County after pleading guilty in February to Assisting a Criminal.

Daviess County Superior Court Judge Dean Sobecki put 20-year-old Nicholas White on Supervised Probation for over 2.5 years, ordered him to pay court costs, complete 400 hours of community service and participate in a victim reconciliation program.

White was said to have been driving a car meant for the getaway of Jacob Kunze who attempted a robbery on a woman by trying to steal a purse.  White said he did not know Kunze was going to rob the woman who was injured in the incident.   Kunze was sentenced to 12 years in jail last summer after pleading guilty to Attempted Robbery Resulting in Bodily Injury.
