Ruth Ann Johnson, 81, of 3128 E. Johnson Bend Road, Decker, passed away at 7:20 pm Thursday July 20,                                                                                                                                                                                                 2017 at BridgePointe Health Campus in Vincennes.
She was born April 22, 1936 near Orrville in Knox County to Earl and Ruth (Lankford) Peach.
Ruth had worked at the Highway Plaza Restaurant as a cook and waitress and attended Bunker Hill Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed reading and drawing.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph G. Johnson, whom she married July 23, 1953; her children, Kathy (Jim Spencer) McCreary of Vincennes, Alice (Gene) Smith of Decker, Annette Johnson of Vincennes, and Mike (Barb) Johnson of Decker; and nine grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Christye Driskill, Kelsey Snow, Kiaya Cornwell, Hananiah Cornwell, Quintesa Cornwell, Ashley Irvin, Allyson, Hageman, and Matthew Johnson; and two great grandchildren, Kiah Driskill, and Oliver Hageman.
She was preceded by her parents, four brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren, Andrew and Melanie Robb.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 25, 1017at 11:00 am in the Johnson Cemetery in Decker with Pastor Jay Howder officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home.Online condolences may be made at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
