Weekend police logs and arrests

Man jumps out Budgett Inn window….police made some alcohol and drug arrests Saturday and Sunday…

 

 

 

 

 

-A man was seen jumping out of a 2nd story window at the Budget Inn in Washington last night.  The call came in at just after 9-pm.  The man got up and ran off after jumping and headed down Highway 57. He was described as a black man wearing tennis shoes, blue jeans and a blue sweater.  He was later seen at Chuckles with only one shoe on.  Police arrived and determined the man had a broken arm.  The man told police he was being chased by several males trying to jump and kidnap him.  However, he could not give police any names or a description of those he said were chasing him.   According to police logs, an occupant of one of the rooms at the Budget Inn reported their vehicle, which was parked at the motel, had been damaged as a result of the incident.  The man who jumped was long formed on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

-Saturday two vehicles collided in the Barr Reeve School Parking lot.  One subject was pulling out and another was driving past and neither driver saw each other and the parked vehicle was hit in the driver’s side.  There were no injuries.

-A caller reported their vehicle had been hit  by another car while parked at Family Video. That happened on Sunday.

-Police logs say that during operation pull over the weekend there were 15 stops made for speeding on I69 in a five hour period. One of those drivers was also found to have an improper vehicle registration.

-32-year-old Jose V. Diaz of Washington was arrested on three counts  of operating while intoxicated on Saturday.  The arrest was made just before 1-am after Diaz was stopped on his moped at West Oak and Southwest 3rd in Washington. The charges include OVWI refusal, OVWI with a prior and with endangerment.  He was also cited for having expired license plates. No bond was set.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested 25-year-old Chase Haverson of Zionsville Saturday.  He’s charged with operating while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.  No bond was set.

-33-year-old Nathanial Long of Washington was picked up on a warrant for failure to appear on Saturday. Bond was set at $5000.

-Sunday, 33-year-old Ruth Adams of Loogootee was arrested by Washington police for operating while intoxicated with greater than or equal to .15%.  No bond was set.
