BEDFORD MURDER
A man was murdered after a fight at the 16th Street McDonalds in Bedford.
Police were called there at about 1:20 on Sunday morning after they were told about a man being shot. The victim was taken to IU Health in Bedford and died of injuries. The suspected shooter had left the scene but police received a description of a vehicle he was in and it was located a short time later.
22-year-old Evan Schaffer of Orleans, Indiana was charged with murder in the case which is still under investigation.
PARKE COUNTY MURDER
A murder in Parke County from the weekend remains under investigation.
Our sister station, WAXI in Rockville is reporting that around 1:30 Saturday morning Deputies were called to 405 Poplar Street in Rockville where they found a white female dead inside the home. She had suffered blunt force trauma to the head. The woman was identified as Rebecca Hartman. John F. Hartman has been arrested in connection to the death.
