An accident in Dubois County last night injured a teen mother and her baby.
It happened at 8:55-pm on Jasper’s south side when 15 year old Beronica (correct) Dubon of Huntingburg was south on Meridian Road north of Highway 162 in an ’02 Dodge Stratus Investigators say she did not yield at the intersection and pulled into the path of an ’05 Chevy Cobalt driven by 28 year old Morgan Schnarr of Jasper.
The impact caused Dubon’s unrestrained baby to be ejected from the vehicle. The mother had to be extricated from the driver’s seat. The baby was taken by helicopter to St. Mary’s in Evansville and was listed in stable condition. Dubon was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s and was stable. Schnarr suffered a cut to the knee and was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation.
