Washington accident victim improving

update1-2

The mother of the 19 year old Washington girl injured in a car/semi crash Thursday says her daughter is doing better.

Abigail Kelsey suffered a broken left wrist, collapsed lung and three major cuts after the 7:30-am accident on State Road 57 at Sandy Hook Curve on Thursday.

County officers told us she was southbound and went off the rights side of the road, overcorrected and went into the left lane into the path of a log truck driven by 72-year-old Billy J. Like of Petersburg.  The 2006 Nissan Kelsey was in was broken into three pieces.  Kelsey was alert and talking after the crash and taken to Daviess Community Hospital and later flown to Deaconess in Evansville.  Like was not injured

Kelsey’s mom thanks everyone for their prayers and concerns
