Local officials, law enforcement and firefighters will be on hand to pay tribute at 1 today.
The 16th annual Law Enforcement Memorial is today at 1 at the Daviess County Courthouse. The ceremony will pay tribute to those who have given their lives I the line of duty.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
Last year 129 Federal, State and local officers and firefighters died across the nation while protecting the citizens they serve.
Again today’s service is at 1 at the courthouse and will feature the Washington High Senior Choir, and the Washington High School NJROTC. The invocation will be given by FOP Chaplain Steve Dayton and there’ll be a proclamation from Mayor Joe Wellman.
