Theft and battery arrests reported…
A Washington man was jailed without bond Thursday on a charge of theft. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department booked 29-year-old Michael Gerbig into the security center at 11:30-am on the charge.
-43-year-old Derek Jones was arrested Thursday for operating while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. No bond was set.
-66-year-old James Sweeney of De Soto, Illinois was arrested on a warrant for a petition to revoke a suspended sentence. Bond was set at $10,000.
-35-year-old Brett Carpenter of Washington was jailed for battery resulting in serious injury, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. No bond was set.
