Clarence W. Bell, 67, of Odon, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the Ketcham Nursing Center in Odon. Clarence was born in Daviess Co., Indiana, on March 21, 1949 to Sam and Minnie Bell.
Clarence was a lifelong farmer who also worked at the Odon Sawmill, Odon Vault Company, Corn Pro, and retired from Daviess County Metal in 2011. He was a committed member of the Odon Church of the Nazarene where he was awarded the Attendance Award and Distinguished Service Award for his nearly seven decades of dedicated service.
Survivors include his brothers, Harley (Rachel) Bell and Elvet (Jamie) Bell of Odon; Honorary sister, Vickie (Bell) Scott of Odon; Nieces, Myra Swartzentruber, Christy Kohl and Tiffany Bell; Nephews, Jason Bell, Jared Bell, Elvet Bell II, and Casey Bell.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Odon Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes will be made available at the Simon J. Graber Building.
Friends may call at the Simon J. Graber Building in Odon from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 and from 12:00 PM until the hour of service on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Trevor Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN.
