Betty M. (Mallette) Troup, age 79, of Odon, passed away on April 7, 2016, at Good Samaritan Home, Oakland City, Indiana.
She was born April 24, 1936 to Elmer and Doris (Mumma) Mallette. She graduated in 1954 from Odon High School. She married Thomas H. Troup on November 24, 1956.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Darrell) Brower, Teresa Troup, Tammy (Roger) Wagler, all of Odon; grandchildren, Dr. Jess (Tara) Brower of Washington, IN, Trent Brower of Odon, Ethen Wagler of Washington, IN, Angela (Brandon) Hughes of Plainville, IN; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Nolan, Bennett, Jonathan and Addilynn Brower; and brother, Ray Mallette of Muncie, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Troup, her parents, Elmer and Doris Mallette, and 2 brothers, Elmer Jr. and Rex Mallette.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9, 2016 during the hours of 6pm-8pm at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501. Funeral service will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00pm at Gill Funeral Home with visitation from 2pm until time of service. Interment will follow immediately at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon, IN.
Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Daviess County Friends for Animals or Pleasant Hill Community Church, Odon, IN.
