The jury is in place for the trial of a former Washington Hispanic church minister accused of molesting a boy over several years. The Washington Times Herald reports today that officials spent the day Tuesday selecting a jury to hear the case of Armando Bruno Morales, 56, of Washington.
Morales, was arrested in January 2015, and charged with three counts of child molesting. All of them involving a boy whose family had attended a Hispanic church on Main Street where he had been the minister.
The paper reports that documents state that the alleged abuse happened while the minister was living with the family over six years.
The prosecution was expected to begin presenting its case to the jury today.
